The Role: Executive Assistant to CFO

The Impact:

At S&P Global, the Executive Assistant will initially support the Interim Chief Financial Officer and once appointed, the CFO of S&P Global. This role is a critical member of the team, setting a high bar and role-modeling our core values of Discovery Partnership, and Integrity. You will interact with global internal and external stakeholders demonstrating a world view and setting the highest bar of professionalism.

Responsibilities:

The Executive Assistant (EA) will provide administrative partnership to the Chief Financial Officer (currently an Interim in place). The EA will encompass a high volume of many tasks and responsibilities in a high-paced environment ensuring that the needs of the CFO are met. EA will interact with senior executive management as well as high-level investors and must profess professionalism in representation of their role. Candidate must also be experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks, be exceedingly well organized and flexible, and enjoy a rapidly changing environment. This individual must be able to function effectively in a matrixed, corporate environment and take a very proactive and thoughtful approach to tasks and strategy. Your ability to be resourceful will allow you to be successful. Specifically you must possess ability to proactively assess department needs, providing research, analysis and articulate recommendations. At times, you are expected to be a decision maker in certain situations. Additional details below:

  • Deliver a broad variety of administrative tasks, including but not limited to managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing monthly expense reports; arranging detailed travel plans; itineraries, meeting agendas and compiling documents for day to day and travel related meetings

  • Plans, coordinates and ensures the schedule is optimized for the CFO

  • Maintain a smooth flow of information in and out of the office while exercising a high level of discretion in managing the confidential and sensitive nature of communications

  • Collaborates across appropriate teams to ensure leaders are well informed of upcoming commitments and follow up appropriately

  • Partner with the internal communications lead and FLT lead for scheduling quarterly Global Finance Town Halls, Global Finance Leadership meetings/offsites and other relevant meetings for the Enterprise Finance organization

  • Arrange facilities, AV and catering for meetings as needed

  • Manage a contact list, prepare stakeholder spreadsheets, and keep online records in systems like Outlook, and others

  • Partner with other executive assistants specifically ExCo EA’s on high priority meetings and BOD activities

  • Support a partnership with key stakeholders including Divisional Presidents, Board of Directors, CFO’s, SVP’s in Finance, Purpose, Communications, Risk & Compliance, Audit, CTO, & Legal, etc. partners

Compensation/Benefits Information: (This section is only applicable to US candidates)

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $66,300 to $116,400. Final base salary for this role will be based on the individual’s geographic location, as well as experience level, skill set, training, licenses and certifications.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

What We're Looking For

Basic Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of administrative experience preferably in a global corporate setting

  • Experience in scheduling and managing a complex, demanding, and constantly changing schedule

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and other virtual platforms

  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks and prioritize competing demands in order to meet deadlines

  • A strategic thinker who is adept at multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment, able to plan, prioritize, and organize individual and group activities and processes

  • Demonstrated ability to use judgment, discretion, and maintain confidentiality on sensitive issues
