Company Description:Project FIND’s mission is to provide low- and moderate-income and homeless seniors with the services and support they need to enrich their lives and live independently. Today Project FIND operates three supportive housing residences that are home to about 600 people and four older adult centers with over 3,000 members. Our members and residents range from the healthy and active to the frail and homebound to the homeless. For all these men and women, Project FIND is a critical resource, providing housing, meals, and programs that help individuals navigate the challenges of aging by encouraging community engagement and healthy living. Please visit our website at: www.projectfind.org.Job Summary:Under the supervision of the Director, the Evening Maintenance Worker is responsible for the overall upkeep and maintenance of the entire center and other designated areas. Must meet all Department for the Aging and Department of Health requirements. General Responsibilities:Nightly:-Check daily and vacuum clean elevator saddles as needed vacuuming in your assigned floors.-Pull down entire rubbish from your assigned floors and mop clean all rubbish rooms; replace the plastic bags.-Remove rubbish from the compactor nightly and make sure that compactor is empty.-Make sure that the freight elevator is clean and no equipment is left in the elevator or in the hallways. -Check the hallways and supply rooms in B level-Mop, spray buff the entire lobby floor and respond to security guard for any emergency-Check hallways daily, and sweep and mop hallways as needed, at least once a week.-Respond to the security guard in the event of an emergency or as needed.-Complete work orders and assignments as directed by Supervisor.-Provide onsite assistance to Property Manager.-Act as fire brigade member during shifts As Scheduled or Required:-Spray buff floors and clean all base boards as needed, at least 2 floors per week.-Mop and spray buff the entire lobby floor as needed and at least once a week.-Wipe down walls (remove dust finger marks) as needed.-Scrub and wax hallways floors monthly.-Scrub and wax lobby floor at least 4 times a year with other porter-Check the entire building’s floors, remove rubbish from the entire floors, take the garbage out on the assigned dates.-In winter, keep the sidewalk free of snow.-Work as per Supervisor’s request, complete work orders as assigned-Provide access, assistance, and on-site support to contractors, inspectors, etc. and building events and projects.Qualifications:-High School Diploma or GED required and/or prior experience in a maintenance position (preferably with senior center experience). -Ability to lift heavy objects.Schedule:Tuesday-Saturday from 3:30pm-11:30pm. Please note this position requires the availability and flexibility to occasionally work some weekends and holidays.
