Actalent Estimator in New York, New York
Hiring an Estimator for a major cost management firm based in NYC working on high profile government projects ranging up to $200m.
Description:
Bulk of the projects are with govt agency projects
Budgets range from minimum $1 million to $200 million
JOB DESCRIPTION
Perform detailed quantity take offs and pricing for cost estimates
Take offs, pricing, construction documents, change orders
Perform on-screen takeoffs for quantity verification against subcontractor bids
Attend meetings with engineers, investors and other agencies involved in projects
Obtain, update and manage accurate pricing information from data base, contractors and suppliers to utilize cost estimates
Work with architects/engineers to develop clear project scope during preparation of estimates and develop relationships
Prepare cost reconciliation between two or more estimates and be able to explain
Qualifications:
3 years minimum of estimating in Project & Cost Management
Excel (Microsoft) for cost accounting, reporting, methods and programs
Experience using Onscreen, Bluebeam, or Planswift for takeoffs
