Description

Electrical Estimator Description:

The estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates on routine small projects under direct supervision for construction as required by clients documents.

Electrical Estimator Tasks:

  • Examine proposals, blueprints, and specifications to determine the kind and time period of work necessary for a project.

  • Prepare material orders and other documentation.

  • Visit job sites to assess progress, maintain logs, troubleshoot problems, and evaluate work.

  • Create project plans from estimates, and define tasks, schedules, and necessary personnel.

  • Confer with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, and negotiate and use local expertise to estimate costs.

  • Perform other duties assigned by the manager.

Qualifications

Requirements

  • High School minimum; Degree in related field preferred; Experience overall - two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination.

  • Must be able to pass background screen

  • Experience working in ACCUBID Classic is a must

  • Must work at an intermediate level of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Proficient in take-off estimator planning

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask while staying organized

  • Self-Motivated

  • Positive customer service skills
