About this role: As our Director of Finance, you will join our team to help achieve the company’s growth and profitability objectives. Responsibilities are focused on strategic business planning, financial planning and analysis, and cross-functional partnership and leadership, to enable the sustainable, profitable scaling of a fast-growing business. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, result-oriented leader with extensive financial planning experience.

You have the ability to manage and keep track of a variety of initiatives with multiple stakeholder involvement at various levels at Sakara.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual operating plan process

  • Work with stakeholders to execute the process

  • Review and challenge department proposals

  • Integrate financial statements and ensure they are accurately reflected

  • Lead the development of the annual plan presentation for senior leaders

  • Drive to achieve targets

  • Partner with teams across the organization to forecast the balance of year P&L and latest estimates periodically

  • Consolidate risks and opportunities outside of the forecast

  • Propose gap-fill actions to achieve profitability targets

  • Work with stakeholders across functions to ensure actions are implemented and results are achieved

  • Support strategic decisions

  • Develop and own the company long-range planning financial model to support strategic planning

  • Evaluate large-scale strategic initiatives from a financial perspective

  • Lead and assist with ad-hoc requests, special projects, and support the finance team on an as needed basis

    Requirements:

  • 10+ years Finance experience (Commercial Finance, Operations Finance, FP&A)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics

  • The ability to model all financial statements

  • Advanced interpersonal and communication skills

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial reporting

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and ERP systems

  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities, work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Very strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, G-Suite and ERP systems

  • A profile that is highly detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, demonstrated in dynamic/complex business settings

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and influencing skills

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering results in a fast paced environment.

    This full-time role is based at our NYC Headquarters in Soho. We currently operate under a hybrid model where you will be required to work in person 3 days during the week.

The compensation salary range for this role is $160,000 - $185,000 annually.
