American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) offers powerful backing and support that helps companies of all sizes gain financial savings, control, and efficiency. We provide a suite of payment and lending products, solutions for travel and everyday business spending, cross border payments, global currency solutions, and business financing. The Global Commercial Services Marketing team is responsible for creating an end-to-end global marketing strategy for our prospect & customer segments around the world. Within GCS Marketing, the Lead Sharing Partnerships team works with trusted external partners to deliver qualified leads to our GCS Sales and Account Development teams, with a focus around driving larger deals across upper-Mid Market and Large Market segments. This program drives $15B in charge volume across the GCS customer base and we are in a pivotal moment to turn this program into a growth engine.

The Director of GCS Lead Sharing Partnerships will develop and carry forward strategies to accelerate growth across 10 key Lead Sharing Programs (categorized from most to least complex into one of three categories - Group Purchasing Organizations, Enterprise Strategic Partnerships and Local Referral Programs) by delivering highly qualified & warm leads to US SME & Global & Large Sales and Account Development teams.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop an overall partnership's strategy as well as individual partner strategies that deliver against goals. Key elements of partner strategies include Partner management, Parter Sales engagement, GCS Sales/AD engagement, Partner & Internal sales collateral, pricing & contract negotiations, reporting & operational excellence. This is a business development & B2B marketing role where you will manage program foundations to generate growth for GCS.

  • Develop & launch scalable, profitable lead generation initiatives and tactics to acquire new, or expand existing, commercial relationships across the full Amex Commercial product suite (Small Business, Corporate Card and B2B payment products)

  • Partner with US SME and Global & Large leadership and externally to develop strategies to engage Partners and our Sales/Account Development teams to maximize the potential of these programs and deliver against business priorities.

  • Serve as the face of American Express to external Partner organizations (including some of Amex’s largest customers) and frequently present on program performance to senior audience including within Marketing, Sales (US SME & G&L segments), GCS Strategy, Strategic Partnerships, and others.

  • Inspire and lead a team of 8 to develop and execute individual program and partner strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience in a B2B Sales/Marketing environment or Business Development.

  • Experience working in a cross- functional team setting with shared goals. Excitement to work in close partnership with our Sales leadership, Account Development as well as Pricing and Finance teams.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to develop holistic strategies and the key initiatives needed to support external partnerships.

  • Experience with identification, deal negotiation and the development of effective go-to-market strategies to unlock new partner opportunities.

  • Ability to develop a fact-based point of view and advocate for it broadly; ability to partner with and influence key stakeholders both internally and externally.

  • Strong analytical skills: the ability to draw actionable outcomes from large sets of complex, partner performance data.

  • Strong leadership behaviors - experience leading and developing a high performing team.

  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and develop lasting relationships.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $205,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
