JOB DUTIES:Director, Data Science positions available with NBCUniversal Media, LLC in New York, NY. Responsible for creating analytical solutions for one or more verticals of the Peacock Video Streaming Service including, but not limited to, recommender systems, automated marketing,personalized advertisement, commerce and revenue, optimization systems, and customer journey and CRM solutions. Serve as a technical lead in advanced statistical and machinelearning methodologies and manage a team of data scientists to create analytical solutions for multiple business verticals. Develop and execute a comprehensive personalization strategyaligned with company goals. Leverage user behavior data to enhance user retention and engagement. Drive the collection and manipulation of new data and the refinement of existing datasources. Understand the difference between inferential and predictive models to apply methods in both areas. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as Data Engineering, Productand business stakeholders, to identify data driven solution and deliver actionable insights. Translate complex problems and solutions to all levels of the organization. Drive innovation of thestatistical and machine learning methodologies and tools used by the team. Recruit, hire, and train junior data scientists and foster their professional development. Hybrid work schedule(minimum 3 days in office).JOB REQUIREMENTS: Must have a minimum of a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field, and at least 7 years of experience in the job offered or atleast 7 years of experience in data science and analytics. Stated experience must include at least 7 years of experience in the following: developing and implementing machine learningmodel solutions, including risk propensity models, customer lifetime value models, recommender systems and personalization/Next Best Action algorithms to guide user interactions andcontent choices; experience in programming languages (Python, PySpark, SQL) including ability to design patterns, write efficient and reusable code, and apply secure coding practices;experience with data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and cloud-based data solutions (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure); experience in model productization and deployment using tools,including .Net microservices, Docker, Kubernetes, Airflow, MLflow, or Jenkins; and experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, ML infrastructures and data governanceprocedures. Must have at least 4 years in a leadership role, including experience managing teams, internal external stakeholders, and presenting to C-suite levels. Must also have at least3 years of experience in the following: Adobe Clickstream, mParticle, and media/streaming first-party data management; and experience in the streaming or media industry, with aspecialization in advanced analytics and data science applications for developing strategies around customer and content.We are offering a salary rage of $200,000 per year to $240,000 per year, depending upon qualifications.
