Role Value Proposition:

As a member of MetLife’s Global Agile Enablement team (Global Lean-Agile Center of Excellence), you will help accelerate the next phase of MetLife’s Agile Transformation! Our team provides a leadership role in the Enterprise evolution towards improved agility. We are looking for a people leader and transformation engagement lead that will grow our team of agilists and shape the overarching strategy that keeps the organization constantly moving towards realization of enterprise agility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This role combines enterprise agile transformation thought leadership and leading a team responsible for our Global Agile Enablement services, capabilities and operations. The team is focused on integrating the various needs of the business into a strategically-focused, best-in-class journey for our end-users.

  • You have direct people leadership for a team of 4-6 agile enthusiasts to develop agile ways of working solutions, implement operational processes and monitoring community adoption and effectiveness.

  • You are responsible for higher-level strategic agile transformation planning and line of business consulting to establish disciplined, effective agile ways of working.

  • As an influential leader, you are seen as an expert in scaled agile execution that requires confident, simplistic and kind communication of all modes.

  • Lead and/or facilitate Agility and SAFe trainings, workshops, OKR sessions, group coaching and 1:1 coaching both virtually and in-person. Primarily focused at the mid-senior level management with occasional focus on teams and ARTs.

  • Meet our colleagues where they are for sustaining portfolio-wide adoption of Lean-Agile principles, practices and scaled patterns. Fit for purpose, fit for reality application.

  • Bring thought leadership and lessons learned back to the community of coaches to upskill and build internal coaching capability across MetLife. Acting as coach of coaches and exemplar within the broader coaching network.

  • Commitment to learn and share. Keeping track of new industry trends while finding connections and case studies of those we can learn from.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:

Required:

  • 5+ years experience of direct people leadership, with preference to experience of leading Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches or Agile teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence change at the organization level to form productive relationships quickly

  • Demonstrated entrepreneurial skills and capability for problem solving, decision making, sound judgment, assertiveness

  • SAFe SPC Certification

  • 5+ years experience serving in an Agile role: Release Train Engineer, Agile Coach, or Product Manager

  • 5+ years experience coaching at most levels of an organization, team through mid-senior leadership.

  • You are able to navigate ambiguity and can work effectively in a changing and quickly evolving environment

  • Excellent presentation, story-telling, influencing, and relationship management skills.

  • Excellent facilitation, communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Organizational Change Management Frameworks and experience

  • Agile Product Management and portfolio-level business operations, strategies and objectives.

  • Agile work management tools (e.g. AzDO, TargetProcess, Miro)

  • Knowledge of multiple Agile frameworks, methods and techniques
