Salary Range ( Hay: 1232 ) : $138,234 - $196,204

Responsibilities :

This Position is responsible for directing and controlling the execution of all operating and administrative activities of Transportation Operations' Crew Assignment Section and Platform Controllers' Unit, Methods & Procedures, Facilities & Safety, Division Operations and Contract Review, along with the functions to provide the adequate number of employees for Field Operations. Implements and strategically supports a variety of process improvement initiatives to increase the safety, proficiency, and availability of the workforce. Response to emergency situations, conducting special investigations of operating incidents, and performing field audits and inspections are responsibilities that are also overseen by this position. Collaborates with other departments/divisions on special projects/ new initiatives. Creates, promotes, and sustains an organizational culture that engages and motivates employees to continually seek ways to enhance both the external and internal customer experience.

Education and Experience :

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in business administration, Public Administration, Transportation Management, or in a related field. T welve (12) years of related full-time experience and n ine (9) years must have been in a managerial or supervisory capacity, or a satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.

  • The ability to think creatively and flexibly manage large stakeholder issues related to major interdivisional projects.

  • Strong business acumen and excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Proven skills in managing highly motivated staff and effectively providing oversight on a vast suite of intersecting projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in project management and development.

    All appointments, with the exception of the Department of Subways employees on MABSTOA payroll, will be made on the NYCT payroll.
