Data Engineer (Citadel Americas Services LLC - New York, NY); Multiple positions available: Coordinate the design, development and maintenance of complex data ingestion processes and data products that assist in the investment research process. Analyze requirements from business stakeholders and translate them into technical designs. Build software that automates or simplifies business processes, or that performs data collection, cleansing and processing. Build quality assurance checks to detect anomalies in data. Collaborate with research and trading teams to define business priorities and deliver custom solutions. Define the technical direction of internal core libraries and tooling. Serve as core committer and eventual library maintainer. Provide production support and assist in production releases for deployment of applications, performing end to end smoke tests. Provide technical leadership and guidance to more junior data engineers.Requires a Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related field. Education, training or experience must include the following: Software engineering; Performing data mining and transformation as well as Web data extraction; Systems design including translating business requirements into systems functionalities and building clear user interfaces; Programming in Python or similar; Data structures, algorithms or computer architecture; Big data processing and cloud technologies including Spark, Hadoop, AWS S3 or similar; and Database development in MS SQL Server, HP Vertica, Snowflake, MongoDB or similar.We are offering a salary range of $150,000 - $225,000 per year.
