JPMorgan Chase Corporate Banker - Japan Multinationals Coverage - Vice President in New York, New York

We are seeking an experienced Vice President to join our industry leading Corporate Banking team.

As a Vice President in the Japan Multinationals Corporate Bank team based in New York City, you will help manage J.P. Morgan's relationships with US and Canadian subsidiaries of Japanese corporate clients across their cash management, trade, derivatives, investment and financing needs. The team coordinates the coverage strategy with headquarter bankers in Japan, and product partners across regions.

Job responsibilities

  • Build and expand Treasurer / CFO relationships with Japanese corporate clients in North America; Originate dialogue at both headquarter and local levels, educating clients on JPMorgan's corporate banking capabilities for US subsidiaries of Japanese clients

  • Partner with local and headquarter corporate bankers and product partners to identify new business opportunities and collaborate on deal execution; Escalate the needs of clients with local and regional product partners to drive product development ideas

  • Create forward looking business plans for clients and maintain existing business relationships

  • Conduct comprehensive client analysis to identify business needs that can be met with JPMorgan's array of corporate banking products (e.g. payments, trade, escrow, derivatives, capital markets, credit, risk management, asset management, etc.)

  • Maintain responsibility for conversion of client analysis into concrete financial solutions

  • Deliver against financial targets including revenue growth, closed new business and forward looking pipeline

  • Conduct regular cross functional reviews with peers (locally and regionally) to ensure coordinated management of client relationships and business opportunities

  • Ensure strong Risk & Control framework is maintained with an ongoing focus on adherence to KYC, AML, Reputation Risk, and other standards

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Proven ability to build and develop client relationships

  • Fluency (speaking and writing) in English and Japanese with strong communication skills

  • Track record managing complex multi-product and multi-country opportunities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Corporate Banking products

  • Strong credit and analytical skills

  • Strong planning and organizational skills

  • Ability to partner with Corporate Bankers and Product Specialists within the firm

  • Must obtain Series 79, Series 63, and Securities Industries Essentials (SIE) FINRA licenses

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Prior experience working with Japanese corporates is a plus
