Meta Content Business Development Lead in New York, New York

Summary:

The Content Business Development team is looking for an individual to focus on program management, deal strategy and execution across AI, Content/IP and Integrity. This position sits within the Global Partnerships and Content organization and is a unique opportunity to engage with cross-functional teams while helping to support product priorities for Facebook and Instagram; working closely with both the Partnerships and Product teams as well as Legal, Operations, Analytics and Policy, among others, to deliver results.

Content Business Development Lead Responsibilities:

  1. Provide go-to-market and partner engagement support in accordance with allocated budget and in furtherance of Product goals

  2. Influence the negotiation strategy and execute licensing agreements, including directly negotiating priority agreements with partners from beginning to execution

  3. Manage cross-functional teams to identify and creatively resolve complex business, operational, and legal issues necessary to manage agreements

  4. Work cross-functionally, but specifically with Legal, to inform in the creation of the necessary legal agreements to support a variety of deal types and workstreams

  5. Draft leadership escalation documents/presentations succinctly laying out background and analysis in order to inform leadership decision-making

  6. Advocate for and represent the needs of partners while balancing those needs against Meta's objectives

  7. Represent Meta in meetings with media, creator and technology services executives from other companies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BA or BS Degree

  2. 7+ years of experience in business development, including experience drafting and negotiating complex IP-based agreements / commercial contracts (outside of standard sales contracts) with minimal direction

  3. Cross-functional communication and relationship building experience with product/technical teams and lawyers

  4. Knowledge of and interest in AI, Content/IP and Integrity/Policy

  5. Resourceful, detail-oriented and organization skills, with experience quickly learning about new technologies and distilling complex information into actionable insights for internal stakeholders

$159,000/year to $223,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
