NYU Langone Health System Clinical Psychiatrist - Juvenile Justice (Per Diem) in New York, New York

Our team at the Bellevue Juvenile Justice Mental Health Services (BJJMHS)is looking to bring on Child Psychiatrists to moonlight with us, for weekend coverage at both our Brooklyn (Crossroads) and Bronx (Horizon) Detention sites. Board certified CAP psychiatrists and Fellows who have passed the adult psychiatry boards are eligible.

Scheduling is flexible with opportunity to work Saturdays and/or Sundays at either location. The primary responsibility for weekend moonlighters is focused on comprehensive diagnostic assessments, including evaluation of the resident, collateral from caregivers, recommendations and prescribing psychotropic medications - all with phone supervision! Moonlighters also see youth for follow-up psychiatric services focused on medication management, crisis management (as a consultant to the building staff), and check-ins with high-risk youth. Moonlighters work with social workers who are members of the BJJMHS team and can assist in getting to know the system, the building and the youth.

Hourly Rate: Juvenile Justice moonlighting rate is $225/hr.

  • Board Certified in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry
  • MD or DO
