Google Campus Security Manager in New York, New York

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience in campus security operations, law enforcement, or related areas.

  • Experience working with security vendors or managing a vendor team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience managing security operations, security personnel and delivering high quality, customer-oriented security programs.

  • Experience with security technologies including CCTV, access control, and incident management systems.

  • Experience working with local law enforcement agencies and emergency services.

  • Ability to handle highly confidential and sensitive information, with excellent judgment, discretion, and diplomacy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

As a Campus Security Manager, you will help lead Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services operations in Google largest campus. You will work with internal and external partners to maintain and enhance the security and safety of Google. You will coordinate physical security (e.g., security services, access control and CCTV systems, site surveys), investigations, risk/threat assessments, protective services, travel safety, and Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) programs. You may also supervise employees and contractors performing specific security and safety objectives and monitor vendor performance and expenses. From keeping Googler’s safe to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. You will help develop a culture where safety, security, and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google. You will help us continually identify, evaluate, and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $122,000-$180,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Own, manage, and develop overall campus security and oversee the management and the execution of site specific security operations ranging from highly specialized in-house security programs, to more traditional security services, incident management with support of planned and unplanned events.

  • Develop and implement security standards, policies, and practices. Oversee the daily management of operations of vendors providing services including security, training, protective services, and risk assessment.

  • Perform data analysis and create benchmarking to support risk assessments and threat identification.

  • Partner with key stakeholders to identify security deficiencies, and develop customized policies and procedures to gain compliance with regulations internal and external to Google.

  • Collaborate with GSRS teams and other groups within Google as they relate to campus security. Liaison with supporting agencies.
