Citibank, N.A. seeks a Banker for its New York, New York location.Duties: Coordinate efforts to identify and implement business opportunities with LATAM public sector clients. Monitor strategic KPIs to measure monthly performance. Perform macro research and country analysis. Track macro developments, rating agency actions, and policy decisions to identify potential transaction opportunities. Make key decisions regarding the coordination and provision of optimal service to clients, given the specific geographic location considerations. Manage and maintain client relationships and drive revenue by cross selling Citi platforms, while deploying the firm's capital, and evaluating and managing risk. Advise Citi bankers with regard to Risk, Credit, Capital Management, Problem Recognition, and Remedial Management policies. Comply with rating and classification risk policies. Support the origination, design, and execution of Public Sector LATAM transactions across different business including Capital Markets Originations, Treasury and Trade Solutions, Markets, and Corporate Portfolio Management. Research and monitor key public sector trends and innovative practices to identify new opportunities. Identity needs and develop a strategy across sub-segments of the Public Sector including national and local governments, central banks, development banks, ministries of foreign affairs, and state owned entities. Develop Public Sector content to assist in the presentation and development of new ideas to clients. Connect with the global Public Sector Government network to source content and replicable experiences. Develop case studies from successful transactions and products for Public Sector clients that could be replicated for other clients in the region. Identify and develop training sessions and / or materials for the BCMA and Public Sector networks. Develop and monitor Public Sector Strategy for franchise development. Support strategic planning for clients through product deep dive sessions and account planning process. A telecommuting/hybrid work schedule may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field and 5 years of experience as a Relationship Manager, Banker, Financial Analyst or related position involving conducting financial, economic and credit analysis within the financial services industry. 5 years of experience must include: Conducting credit analysis for Governments, State owned companies, and development and central banks; Utilizing Bloomberg to source economic and financial data, and create reports and financial presentations; Conducting economic analysis and analyzing economic trends across countries globally, and with specific emphasis on the LATAM region; and Modelling and forecasting the impact of financial solutions in balance sheets. 3 years of experience must include: Developing, monitoring and executing strategic initiatives for clients across the LATAM region, including Mexico.
