Bloomberg News is looking for a digital audience and engagement editor for weekends. You will work closely with reporters and editors to package and promote content across social platforms, mobile alerts, newsletters, and more — to meet business users where they are at the weekend.

The ideal candidate is experienced in a digital newsroom and comfortable with a wide range of topics, especially business news. You should have an understanding or experience with SEO, comfort with creating or distributing video content, and have a knowledge of off-platform sites like Facebook, X, Apple News, Flipboard, etc.

WE’LL TRUST YOU TO:

  • Promote priority weekend content across distribution platforms

  • Optimize weekend content for SEO, monitors keyword opportunities

  • Handle push alerts for all priority/enterprise weekend stories

  • Pitches referral partners for promotion (Flipboard, Apple News, etc)

  • Creates/publishes social video packages alongside weekend content

  • Handle analytics and feedback to the team on performance of our distribution channels

  • Jump in as a backup for breaking news support as needed

YOU’LL NEED TO HAVE:

  • 3+ years of experience as an editor, audience editor, or social media editor, preferably in a digital newsroom environment

  • Strong writing and editing skills

  • An understanding of audience analytics and the digital subscription ecosystem

  • An ability to stay calm and act in a fast-paced, breaking news environment

  • An ability to adapt to changing news habits and audience behavior in a post-social media world

Salary Range: 85,000 - 115,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
