Originate, underwrite, and perform diligence for renewable energy investments throughout the U.S. Engage with clients, review complex financial models and confidential information memorandums (CIMs), to determine potential tax equity investment opportunities. Work on diligence projects such as reviewing third party consultancy reports, models, legal documentation, and coordinate with subject matter experts. Identify risks and propose risk mitigation. Analyze and run different scenarios on the financial models. Analyze the structuring of deals and associated tax benefits. Outline and discuss terms and specific provisions with business clients and negotiate transaction documents. Close and fund deals, and track the operation of projects throughout the life of the investment. Prepare internal memos for approval with detailed analysis.

Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $225,000 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.

Requirements:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Any), Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as an Engineer, Analyst or a related role. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Data analysis and modeling; Drafting and reviewing engineering reports and presentations; Researching and evaluating engineering technologies; Understanding business financials and projections; Creating, streamlining, and optimizing processes and operations; Client and project management within the industrial manufacturing or energy sector; and Process development and documentation to improve efficiencies within the industrial, manufacturing or energy sector.
