Columbia's Vagelos School of Physicians and Surgeons is amongst the top research universities and provides an outstanding intellectual environment. The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC) at Columbia University Irving Medical Center provides outstanding Biomedical Research Cores. The HICCC houses 12 core facilities or shared resources that provide services essential to basic and translational cancer research, to which the applicant will have continued full access on a 24/7 basis.

The Herbert Irving Comprehensive Cancer Center (HICCC) is seeking a qualified candidate for a senior-level research position of Associate Research Scientist. The HICCC brings together the top talent across Columbia University's leading research programs and departments to build a community of scientists dedicated to solving cancer. Candidates should have outstanding scientific and postdoctoral credentials. The successful candidate will be able to work and thrive at the interface between laboratory science and computational biology.


Minimum Degree Required

  • Ph.D., MD, or equivalent doctoral degree

Minimum Qualifications

  • Applicants must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent degree and at least 3 years of postdoctoral research experience.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills and ability to work as a member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong project management skills and demonstrated mentoring skills with students and postdocs.
