BlackRock Financial Management, Inc. is hiring a(n) Associate, Insurance Solutions (ref. Code R242030) in New York, NY.Duties: Support all internal portfolio management, product strategy teams, and distribution channels across the platform. Collaborate with insurance regulatory, accounting, and liability expertise to design investment management products and services. Develop a thorough knowledge of BlackRock’s capabilities, products, and services, and integrate this knowledge into analytical solutions for insurers. Provide analytics and marketing materials to support the asset management sales process. Assist in asset allocation or asset-liability management engagement for a broad spectrum of asset classes, to help inform clients’ optimal investment strategy and provide support for client advisory assignments. Design appropriate investment and risk management frameworks and execute the implementation of the associated analytics utilizing insurance specific considerations including, accounting, capital, liquidity, and liability product features. REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Finance, Computational Finance, Economics or a related quantitative field and one (1) year of experience in the job offered or as a Senior Analyst, Analyst or related. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Computational Finance, Economics or a related quantitative field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or as a Senior Analyst, Analyst or related. Must have experience with: implementing accounting, regulatory, risk management, and strategic frameworks for insurers by region; utilizing Excel for analytics framework and leveraging tools produced in Python and SQL for insurance-specific outcomes; applying coding in VBA and R to provide analytical solutions to insurers; working across a range of asset classes including Credit, Alternatives, Equities and Structured Assets to assess portfolio solutions; and performing tactical and strategic asset allocation analyses, asset liability management, and designing optimal investment strategies.
