How will you make an impact in this role?

You will support the Sr Product Manager in designing, developing, and managing activities for The Square product (Amex’s intranet site), from product definition and planning through production and release. Partner with stakeholder teams on enhancing/refining product strategies and roadmaps. Manage the features backlog by identifying and prioritizing features and capabilities through direct input with business stakeholders, analysts, developers and architects and knowledge of the domain. Facilitates resolution of risks, issues and changes related to the product development lifecycle. Involvement includes modifications, upgrades and maintenance of the product or product line.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing the business case for new products or features.

  • Assist in the research of regulatory developments and provides preliminary input on analysis of potential implications to existing Products .

  • Support in the documentation of as-is processes for product management, product enhancements, key findings and standard methodologies.

  • Generate and distribute reports

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Technology and other adjacent stakeholders to gather and document product requirements and to ensure timely delivery of product features, following agile development methodologies

  • Supports in the creation and maintenance of the product backlog

  • Assists in the identification of technical gaps and collaborates with broader teams to facilitate resolution risks, opportunities and changes tied to product management initiatives and processes. Maintain core critical metrics

  • Understands competitive and internal positioning for their product or product line through internal and external market research.

  • Use analytical abilities and strategic perspective to identify trends & recommend solutions that will help improve the user experience

Minimum Qualifications

We are looking for:

  • Recent experience in a Product Management or Analyst role writing stories and acceptance criteria utilizing Rally or JIRA.

  • Recent experience prioritizing work for a scrum team and making difficult tradeoffs in an Agile environment.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills to effectively communicate complex ideas and information across a broad range of stakeholders

  • Collaboration and leadership skills that help this person navigate cross-functional teams and build relationships, to influence decisions and deliver on shared objectives.

  • Great organization skills to balance answering questions and responding to needs of various stakeholders while continuing to drive delivery.

  • Experience in Platform metrics like performance tracking is a plus.

  • Experience with roadmap & prioritization, long-term strategic vision of the platform is a plus.

Qualifications

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
