Global Atlantic Financial Group Assistant Vice President, DevOps & Production in New York, New York

Job Duties:DevOps and Production Support position covering both Vendor and in-house developed systems that support Investments and Risk functions. Supporting traders and portfolio managers to resolve technical issues and limit business impact. Managing daily production support issues across Risk and Investments systems. Leading the development of analytics compute platform. Managing and maintaining Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) tooling to enable continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipeline of low code platform. Partnering with infrastructure teams to manage buildout of risk and investments cloud environments. Documenting and presenting Architecture Review Board (ARB) requests to senior management on behalf of the business for onboarding new applications. Monitoring applications and system health via alert monitoring tools and providing quick response to alerts escalations and all outages. Performing root cause analysis for production issues and incidents to address and prevent them from repeating. Documenting processes and procedures related to production support and DevOps tasks. Developing production ready tooling and scripts for production support, development team, and the business.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Financial Economics, Computer Science, or a related field, plus five (5) years of experience in job offered or a related position supporting Investment Technology solutions. Prior experience must include five (5) years in each of the following: working in Python, RDBMS/SQL, and general scripting technologies; working in Unix/Linux, Bash/Shell scripting, or Terraform scripting; supporting complex interdependent systems and data flows; working with markets, asset management/asset classes, and related accounting flows; resolving technology and business problems by demonstrating analysis and communication skills; working with cross-functional groups to deliver business and technical solutions; working with financial derivatives and other various vanilla financial products; and working with Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol. Prior experience must include two (2) years in working in Agile delivery methodologies.
