STV, Inc. Assistant Project Manager - Mechanical Engineering in New York, New York

Assistant Project Manager - Mechanical Engineering. Responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and managing assigned construction engineering projects under supervision of licensed engineer. Review project schedules, budgets, estimates, engineering drawings and procedures to ensure compliance with project specifications. Research, evaluate, design, and construct mechanical equipment, systems and processes, specifying system components and directing modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Analyze feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanical equipment, components, and systems. Coordinate and monitor construction activities and ensure operations are in compliance with specifications and schedule. Facilitate pre-construction services to ensure contract compliance. Review and process contract submittals and ensure incorporation of engineering drawings and design and construction changes into Building Information Modeling (“BIM”) system. Perform cost engineering/estimating services and schedule management. Review project safety programs and conduct safety auditing for adherence to federal and state safety codes and contract requirements. Monitor compliance with environmental regulations and address issues. Ensure construction operations are completed on schedule in accordance with project budget and quality standards. Conduct systems testing and confer with supervisory project personnel, subcontractors, and engineering professionals to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information. Visit project and client sites to ensure functionality of mechanical equipment and systems. Record and report status of project activities and progress to supervisory personnel, subcontractors, and client. Position duties require extensive utilization of eBuilder, Primavera P6, eComply, Oracle, BIM software, AutoCAD, MS Office Software and MS project. Requires approximately 20% travel time to project sites in the greater New York City metropolitan area.Requires Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, followed by minimum two years of experience in the position offered.Annual salary range for offered position: $88,587.20 to $120,000.00.
