ASSISTANT FUND CONTROLLER sought by Theorem Partners, LLC in New York, NY.JOB DUTIES: Responsible for providing oversight of the fund administrator’s calculation of the Funds’ month-end net asset values. Specific duties include: 1) Prepare monthly investor allocation for investors of onshore and offshore funds. 2) Perform calculation of management and incentive fees. 3) Review third party valuations for the Funds’ portfolios. 4) Reconciliation of positions and cash balances. 5) Delivery of daily P&L and portfolio reporting to management. 6) Work closely with Investor Relations team and ensure correct processing of capital transactions. 7) Prepare investor deliverables, and assist with ad-hoc requests and inquiries. 8) Interact regularly with third party service providers, including fund administrator, auditors, legal counsel, custodians, etc. 9) Support regulatory reporting (Form PF, Cayman AEOI, etc.) and the company’s compliance program. 10) Coordinate with auditors to ensure timely completion of annual audits. 11) Contribute to the development and ongoing improvement of policies and procedures, both internally and in coordination with service providers. 12) Provide support in the implementation of new technology and software, and onboarding of any new service providers. 13) Assist with tax related matters, including the review of fund returns and investor K-1s. 14) Responsible for the maintenance of the management company’s accounting books and records. Telecommuting is permitted up to 50%/week within normal commuting distance of Theorem Partners, LLC’s office in New York, NY.JOB REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, plus two (2) years of fund accounting or related accounting experience including maintaining and generating fund financial statements; reconciling fund portfolios and ensuring that they accurately reflect the financial positions of the funds; working with external auditors to ensure that financial statements are accurate and comply with regulatory requirements; and preparing and analyzing financial statements, including income statements, Profit & Loss statements and balance sheetsSpecific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Knowledge of accounting, auditing and financial reporting principles and regulations; 2) Knowledge of partnership accounting; 3) Knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulations; 4) Experience in preparing tax returns for investment funds; and 5) Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook)Any level of knowledge, experience and/or coursework in the specific skills is acceptable.Telecommuting is permitted up to 50%/week within normal commuting distance of Theorem Partners, LLC’s office in New York, NY.Expected salary for this position is $190,000 per year.
