JPMorgan Chase Americas Equity Capital Markets Business Management, Associate in New York, New York

Join the Business Management group that provides support to the business strategy, optimizes business performance, enables execution of strategic initiatives, and helps ensure the business operates within a sound control environment.

As an Associate in Business Management team supporting the Americas Equity Capital Markets (ECM) franchise you play a critical role in maintaining a rigorous business tracking framework (P&L, pipeline, league table rankings,...) and analyzing a large set of data to identify potential opportunities and areas of focus for the business. As a Business Manager, you will need to establish your internal network and partner with different areas of the firm such as Front Office, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Technology, and other teams. You should be able to communicate by adapting your messages to different audiences.

Job responsibilities

  • Run the business reporting process, providing accurate data, in a timely manner. This includes P&L, pipeline, league table reporting as well as expense management

  • Understand market trends and competition landscape. Identify areas of focus relative to our competition and overall market opportunities

  • Gather, analyze and synthesize data, make recommendations for the leadership team to facilitate decision making

  • Develop presentations to communicate the business strategy, performance, and priorities. Prepare materials for business performance reviews, offsites, townhalls

  • Establish a strong network with functional partners, senior and junior bankers, and senior management

  • Actively participate to ongoing projects (Implementation of regulatory changes, launching new tools or enhancing existing processes to increase efficiency,...)

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills

  • 2+ years of relevant experience Business Management, COO or related area

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other related area

  • Self-motivated, tenacious and able to work with high degree of independence

  • Proven experience delivering timely, high quality presentations and/or reporting for various projects and stakeholders

  • Attention to detail is a must

  • Ability to articulate and demonstrate thoughtful rationale when taking decisions

  • Excellent communication, organization and project management skills. You pick up the phone to discuss and resolve issues, rather than emailing

  • Strong time management and prioritization skills

  • Intermediate to advanced level ability expected in all MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)

  • This position is onsite 5-days a week
