Job Description

We are:

The Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) will join a team of over 900 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department.

We are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join HMS Medicine service which covers patients with Head & Neck, Melanoma, Sarcoma Cancers. This APP will deliver comprehensive care to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of our patients, implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research vital to establish exemplary, evidence-based care. This position requires day rotation.

HOURS:Full-time, 13-hour day shifts with Weekend and Holiday rotation.

You Are:

  • Capable of anticipating and balancing the needs to multiple partners

  • Efficient and multitask while caring for various patient populations

  • An effective communicator

  • Openly relatable and comfortable with diverse groups of people

  • Adaptable in approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations

    You Will:

  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to deliver care in a high acuity medical environment.

  • Ensure the delivery of exemplary care and foster an environment that centers on the needs of patients and their families

  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, implementation of patient education, and clinical support programs

    Qualifications needed for a NP/ PA candidate are:

  • Graduate from an accredited PA program

  • Master’s degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges

  • Related National NP certification

  • NCCPA certification

  • Active NYS license or be qualified for state licensure

  • A minimum of 2 years Inpatient Medicine or related clinical experience

  • BLS certification and ACLS certification

    Pay Range $136,000-180,000K
