Admitting Clerk/Discharge Clerk (F/T & P/T) --

Book inpatient admissions, ambulatory surgery and Emergency Room procedures, keep accurate census. Transfer and discharge patients, maintain and update bed-tracking systems. Manage the hospital beds. Make assignments recommending intra-hospital transfers. Ensure all patients are placed appropriately.

HS Diploma/GED required. Excellent communication and customer service skills required. Data entry experience preferred. Knowledge of Admitting/Discharging patients and Verification of Insurance required. Previous hospital experience required.

Position may be full-time or part-time and temporary or permanent, depending on need of facility. Weekend work may be required.

After one (1) year of employment, may be eligible to apply for our Education Program, to move on with your career in healthcare.

Salary: Starting salary is approximately $17.00-$20.00 per hr.

Job Location: Positions available within the five boroughs of NYC.
