Exciting Opportunity for a 401k Audit Manager CA (SA)!

Do you possess a wealth of experience in auditing Employee Benefit Plans, particularly with a focus on 401K plans? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

Key Responsibilities:

Employee Benefit Plan Audit Mastery:

  • Lead and execute audits of Employee Benefit Plans with a specific emphasis on 401K plans.

  • Apply your in-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance and accuracy.

  • Conduct risk assessments and develop comprehensive audit plans tailored to Employee Benefit Plans.

Audit Management Excellence:

  • Oversee and manage the entire audit process from planning to reporting, ensuring efficiency and adherence to timelines.

  • Actively manage budgets and engagement realization.

  • Direct and mentor audit teams, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.

  • Review and evaluate audit documentation, providing constructive feedback and guidance.

  • Review financial statements of benefit plans, prepared in accordance with US GAAP.

Client Engagement and Relationship Building:

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, maintaining strong relationships and delivering exceptional client service.

  • Communicate audit findings and recommendations clearly and effectively to clients, promoting transparency and understanding.

  • Proactively track outstanding documentation and follow up with clients to ensure reporting deadlines are met.

Regulatory Compliance and Continuous Learning:

  • Stay abreast of evolving regulations and changes in accounting standards related to Employee Benefit Plans.

  • Provide insights on emerging trends and best practices in the Employee Benefit Plans audit landscape.

  • Actively engage in professional development and continuous learning to enhance audit expertise.

Qualifications and experience:

  • Manager level - Fully qualified Chartered Accountant - CA (SA) / CA (Z) / ACCA / CPA

  • 7-10 years experience in external audit

  • 100+ hours on US EBP engagements in the last 12 months

  • Managed at least 5 US EBP plans in the last 12 months

  • Proven experience in audit management, with a focus on Employee Benefit Plans, specifically 401K auditing.

  • Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to Employee Benefit Plan audits.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Strong leadership abilities, with a passion for mentoring and developing talent.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and internal teams.

Location: US

Work-type: Remote

Compensation: $140k to $160k

Shift: US working hours or 4 hour overlap with US if not located in the US

Pay Details: $140,000.00 to $160,000.00 per year
