The Department of Accounting at the Stern School invites highly qualified candidates to apply for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank commencing in Fall 2025.

In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $300,000. This pay range represents base pay only (for 9 months) and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.

Candidates must demonstrate an interest in accounting research and are expected to be productive researchers. They must be effective teachers at the undergraduate, MBA and PhD levels. Candidates should have a Ph.D., or candidates must have successfully defended their doctoral dissertation prior to appointment. All accounting research areas will be considered.
