Pfizer VP, Finance Primary Care in New York City, New York
The VP, Finance Primary Care is accountable for financial leadership for Pfizer's Primary Care Business.
The Primary Care Business is committed to delivering breakthroughs that change both standard of care for patients as well as standard of practice for our hospital stakeholders. The Primary Care business spans US commercial activity for Vaccines, Internal Medicine, Antivirals & Diagnostics and Migraine portfolios.
As member of the Primary Care Leadership team, provide leadership and support to ensure financial goals are met. Actas a strategic finance business partner to the US Primary Care President providing financial advice and contributing to strategic and operational discussions and decisions.
In addition, the ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure and to effectively develop business partner relationships is critical to this role. Strong collaboration is required across Specialty Care, Oncology, International Developed Markets, Emerging Markets, Pfizer Global Supply and other stakeholder groups which include Business Development, Controllers, Global Business Services, Decision Support CoE, Tax, Treasury, Digital.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Accountable for the financial strategy to ensure Primary Care achieves its commercial objectives
Pro-actively collaborates with Primary Care organization to deliver Finance commitments and identify / deliver strategic and growth value drivers
Proactive analysis and identification of actions to ensure that the business unit is delivering on its growth aspiration through identification of opportunities and optimal capital allocation
Provide guidance to US Primary Care President and PC LT on go to market strategies to help transform the way we engage patients and physicians
Develop annual Operating Plans and Forecasts aligned with Enterprise Targets
The Finance Lead is accountable -in partnership with Portfolio Management team and Pfizer Global Supply- to perform regular assessments on portfolio initiatives, from profitability to optimization
Drives cost efficiencies and capital allocation initiatives across portfolios
Partners with the business leaders and business development teams to identify, assess and execute on business development opportunities. Ensures rigor of business development case analysis and financial input in investment decisions
Work with Specialty & Oncology US Finance Leads to ensure alignment on processes, practices and reporting across the US businesses; and plan for talent development across the Business Finance organization in the US.
REQUIRED BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
20+ years of experience as Finance Leader and Business partner in complex and dynamic organizations and environment.
Bachelor's degree in business or finance required; Advance business degree (MBA or CPA) preferred
Strong financial and business acumen
Strong understanding of financial processes and controls
Ability to work effectively within a matrix organizational structure and to effectively develop business partner
Previous experience in managing in a large complex environment at a global scale
Proven leadership, communication, and interpersonal / relationship management skills, including executive level interactions; successful experience managing managers and colleagues across wide spectrum of cultures and geographies; high performance history of providing clear direction, team alignment, executing priorities and delivering results.
Proven analytical skills with the ability to analyze and assimilate data for critical business decisions in a timely manner
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize/manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a time sensitive environment
Growth mindset. Ability to navigate in complexity and taking decisions under uncertainty
Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrating the ability to effectively summarize information in clear, concise and insightful updates.

The annual base salary for this position ranges from $239,300.00 to $398,900.00. In addition, this position is eligible for participation in Pfizer's Global Performance Plan with a bonus target of 30.0% of the base salary and eligibility to participate in our share based long term incentive program.
