The City of New Richmond, known as "The City Beautiful", is located an easy and quick commute in both directions from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Metro area and a short distance from Eau Claire, WI. City Beautiful it is, in setting, in character and quality of life!

The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for issuing parts from the stockroom to the assembly floor, fabrication department or to customers. This individual also receives completed parts into the stockroom and puts parts away when checked in. This position assists in maintaining an accurate inventory control and will be expected to perform monthly inventory cycle counts. The Stockroom Clerk should be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and should be able to work under minimal supervision.

Essential Functions:

  • Receives parts into the stockroom, including parts from supplier, plating vendors and parts from fabrication.

  • Counts, sorts, weighs incoming orders to verify receipt of items on purchase order, flags if incorrect.

  • Issues parts for inter-company material requisitions.

  • Issue parts orders for internal and external customers.

  • Provides assistance on inventory accuracy duties; enters all received goods into the ERP system (SAP) and performs cycle counts on a periodic basis.

  • Delivers material/packages within the facility.

  • Maintains a clean and organized work area and keeps the Stockroom organized.

  • Observes all safety regulations.

  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives.

  • Advises Supervisor of required maintenance or safety hazards that exist.

  • Obtain a Forklift license if not currently in possession of one.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Must possess a minimum of a High school diploma or GED

  • Must have at least 1+ years of experience working in a stockroom, supply chain, warehousing and/or material/ inventory control capacity


  • Training or education in supply chain or inventory control is a plus

  • Flexibility to support other areas of the stockroom when needed.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner with other functions and foster teamwork.

  • Ability to participate/lead in problem solving activities, pro-actively suggest improvements, and to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to perform a sequence of operations with minimal supervision and/or independently.

  • Ability to be flexible to handle multiple and changing priorities/deadlines and handle stressful situations.

  • Knowledge of SAP, MS Office, basic Windows skills.

  • Have a professional aptitude and ability to represent Company in a professional manner.

  • Actively participate in 5S program to maintain a highly productive work environment.

  • Forklift License is preferred.

  • PC Knowledge of SAP and MS Office

  • Experience with OCE.
