Ensuring Chart’s Success…

Chart’s New Prague, MN location is currently seeking candidates interested in the position of Machine Operator. Chart’s Machine Operator plays a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart’s products. Responsibilities of a Machine Operator include, but not limited to, the operation and setup of a CNC Plasma, CNC Waterjet, and a Plate Blaster machine.

This position is on our Night Shift:

Monday - Thursday; 2:45pm-12:45am

Some overtime required

What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be…

• Setup, operate, and monitor multiple pieces of manufacturing equipment, including saws.

• Ability to troubleshoot multiple machines.

• Safe operation of equipment.

• Inspect and perform minor maintenance on all assigned machines.

• Maintain assigned shop equipment and hand tools.

• Ability to operate overhead cranes/hoist and forklifts.

• Maintain required production records.

• Observe and practice safety procedures and policies.

• Maintain a neat and orderly work station with equipment in safe operating condition.

• Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the supervisor.

Your Education Should Be…

• High School diploma or GED

Your Physical Work Environment Will Require…

• Frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and occasional crawling.

• Frequent carrying and lifting up to 50 lbs., occasional heavier lifting with assistance

• Frequent pushing, pulling and handling of materials.

• Exposure to metal cutting and welding odors.

• May involve exposure to temperature extremes.

• Exposure to overhead objects.

• Exposure to occasional flying debris.

• Required use of safety glasses with side shields, ANSI approved steel-toed safety shoes, and hard hats,

Your Professional Experience Should Be…

• Previous experience with various types of metals preferred

• Previous machine/equipment operation.

• Familiarity with the use of hand tools.

• Familiarity of measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, tape measures.
