Krewe Director of Build and Construction, Southeast in New Orleans, Louisiana

We are currently searching for a high-performing Director of Build and Construction for the southeast region to join our team. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this key player will be responsible for managing our store development programs in the southeast region, securing financing for approved projects, overseeing construction projects through detailed timelines and hands-on project management, and ensuring on-time, on-budget execution in all locations. The ideal candidate brings an extensive background in construction/project management, budget/capex planning and allocation, vendor selection, contract negotiation, and facilities management.

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • Expertise in planning and managing multiple build projects at once, including end-to-end management of new store build-outs

  • Exceptional budget management and invoice tracking skills

  • Deep understanding of municipal build regulations and requirements

  • Ability to contribute effectively in the value engineering process to reduce costs without compromising brand objectives

  • Exceptional project management skills

  • Proven ability to effectively onboard and negotiate with new vendors and contractors to achieve desired outcomes

    Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize buildout plans, sequencing, timelines and calendars for pipeline of build and maintenance projects

  • Select and manage vendors to the completion of contracted deliveries

  • Work with finance to estimate and secure financing for all projects and control expenses through to completion

  • Ensure compliance with local municipalities through permit acquisition 

  • Plan and manage the maintenance budget and projects for all existing facilities

  • Track and oversee progress via frequent site-visits [travel required]

     

    Requirements:

  • Based in New Orleans, requiring regular in-person office presence in our New Orleans headquarters.

  • Minimum 7 years experience in construction development/management

  • Advanced in Google Drive 

  • Advanced in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Advanced in construction, architectural and store planning terminology

  • Working knowledge of store and field operations

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Strong communication skills and proven ability to mobilize teams and projects

  • Ability to work independently or as a member of the team

  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing

  • Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision
