Hyatt Credit and Event Billing Manager in NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana

Description:

The Hyatt Regency New Orleans, a 1193 room luxury full-service hotel with 200,000 sq. ft. of event space, is searching for an experienced Credit and Events Billing Manager to join our Commercial Services team.

The Credit and Events Billing Manager assists the Events Department in the Setup of accounts, bill review and completion of the full billing process with groups local and convention. Additionally, they will manage the invoice and check request process for the department. They assist in processing, commissions and rebates. The Billing Coordinator ensures Events billing systems are up to date and that any corrections or adjustments are handled in a timely manner. This person must also maintain calendars/meetings schedules and travel plans for supervisor. General office administrative duties and support of a manager are some of the daily functions of this position. This person will need to work as part of the office support staff and take part in the responsibilities that are assigned to administrative positions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies and procedures related to credit and billing processes, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Work closely with other departments, such as finance, sales, and reservations, to address any billing-related issues and ensure a seamless experience for guests.

  • Provide regular reports and updates to management on the status of credit and billing operations, highlighting any areas of concern or opportunities for improvement.

  • Manage the credit and group billing operations for the hotel, including but not limited to credit card transactions, invoicing, and payment processing.

  • Monitor cash flow and manage collections to minimize delinquencies and optimize cash flow management.

  • Work closely with the finance department to analyze financial data, prepare financial reports, and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to analyze financial data and reconcile accounts.
