Responsibilities Serves as the Chief of Staff for the New Orleans District under the supervision of the Deputy Commander (DDE) and the District Commander (DE) in the development and direction of District policies, programs, and operations. As a member of the District corporate Board and executive Staff, advises the DE, DDE, Deputy for Programs and Program Management (DPM) and other executive senior leaders in all areas of management and administration. Advise and assist in the development and execution of the district’s strategic plans, goals, and business process improvement initiatives. Review and discuss policymaking and precedent-setting with the DE, DDE, DPM and other executive senior leaders for advisory purposes. Review the adequacy of work and decisions made through discussions of the program areas assigned, discussions with the Executive Office Staff principals and senior leaders, and through the progress of the mission support programs. Plan, direct, coordinate, and supervise assigned support office activities through direct supervision of G/A Support Office Chiefs. Plan, coordinate, and execute the District Command and Staff meeting and integrates division level involvement to cover the full range of management advisory services and technical functions performed by the district support offices. Assist the DE, DDE, and DPM in revising district policy in support of the district mission to include knowledge management, training management, process improvement, outreach, and logistics management functions. In the absence of the Deputy Commander, assumes the role and executes the functions of the office as determined by the District Commander.
