U.S. Marine Corps BUILDING MANAGEMENT OFFICER in New Orleans, Louisiana

Summary You will serve as a BUILDING MANAGEMENT OFFICER in the Marine Forces Reserve of MARFORRES NOLA. Responsibilities You will maintain a historical chronology of projects and milestones. You will research, develop, obtain and compile the necessary documentation to complete Military construction submission packages for Military Construction, Naval Reserve (MCNR) Program funded projects. You will attend annual joint service coordination and construction meetings for each state in person or via telephone. You will manage and/or ensure the execution of the various phases of projects, including planning, request for proposal development, design, and construction. You will attend and lead development and design meetings throughout project process. You will develop and coordinate a comprehensive relocation and project completion and closure plan with all participants. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing most or all of the following duties: 1) Designing, planning, and analyzing facility construction projects utilizing demonstrated knowledge of the full range of principles associated with life cycle management of engineering, facilities management, and construction projects; 2) Researching, developing, and compiling documentation for military construction (MILCON) budget submission packages in compliance with industry guidelines; 3) Providing technical guidance and strategic planning on methods of analysis to accomplish efficient delivery of construction projects; 4) Coordinating with industry professionals to prioritize and complete facility construction projects; and 5) Briefing higher echelon executives on status of construction projects and process improvement recommendations.
