General Responsibilities:

As a Dispatcher with Terracon you will have knowledge of basic field and/or laboratory tests and tasks. Assist technicians and staff professionals with administrative functions of the position. Provide communication and support services to clients, staff and MAT Field Technicians. Accurately receive necessary information from field superintendents, then coordinate dispatching of those requests by providing the daily dispatch report (Scheduler) to all field technicians, truck assignments, and job specific equipment to project site and coordinates related arrangements for technicians on out-of-town travel. Answer questions and provide information to clients and staff. Maintain accurate, up-to-date e-files and logs. Relates effectively to those contacted in the course of work. Prepare reports as required. Uses good judgment in making decisions and manage a fast pace within the department.

Performs administrative and general office duties that produces a variety of correspondence, reports and presentations using the appropriate software for word processing, graphics and spreadsheets. Screens telephone calls and visitors. Schedules meetings and routes or answers routine inquiries. Maintains files, department office supplies and mail. Prepares special reports. Gathers and summarizes data. May be assigned to various functional areas of the company.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Under minimal supervision, provides moderate to complex administrative support for an office, a department and/or group of professionals.

  • Must maintain scheduling efficiency and do so in accordance with Terracon's IIF safety protocols.

  • Independently researches and obtains information for special assignments including analyzing data and report preparation.

  • Analyzes complex problems, compiles and analyzes data and prepares daily dispatches through Scheduler.

  • Answers telephones and forwards messages.

  • May handle calendaring, travel arrangements and coordination of day-to-day activities.

  • Coordinates the collection and submittal of department or office time sheets.

  • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.

  • Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.

Hourly Rate: $20.00

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Minimum 3 years’ relevant experience.

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
