Description

Robert Half has an opening for a part time Accounts Payable Clerk with our client in New Orleans, Louisiana. This role will be situated within our bustling finance department and will require the successful candidate to handle a variety of tasks related to accounts payable and reconciliation. This is a long-term contract position.

Responsibilities:

• Efficiently and accurately processing invoice data

• Conducting account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial records

• Executing check runs to ensure timely payment of invoices

• Coding invoices correctly to ensure accurate record keeping

• Maintaining and updating accounts payable records

• Using Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data

• Resolving customer inquiries related to accounts payable

• Monitoring customer accounts and taking appropriate actions when necessary

• Ensuring the accurate processing of customer credit applications

• Maintaining accurate customer credit records

Requirements

• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) is mandatory

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices is required

• Must be adept at Data Entry

• Familiarity with Invoice Processing is essential

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel is necessary

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills are expected

• Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial

• Good written and verbal communication skills are needed

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is important

• Must have problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis

• Knowledge of general accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements is a plus

• Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet, professional manner is essential

• Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment is preferred

• Must have a high level of integrity, trustworthiness, and reliability
