Windsor Court Hotel Accounting Supervisor in New Orleans, Louisiana

The Windsor Court is seeking an experienced Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for supervising associates working in one or more accounting functions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and be able to ensure that transactions or records are entered accurately and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the financial and operating performance of The Windsor Court Accounting Department.
  • Accounting associates and assists with preparing annual goals, objectives, and strategies for the department.
  • Assists with building relationships with Property Accounting internal clients, including Corporate and Shared Services.-
  • Ensure transactions or records are entered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies.
  • Assist the Accounting Director with accounting close processes or the creation of financial statements and reports.
  • Assists with the coordination of responses to internal and external audit groups.
  • Helps with oversight of daily and period-closing activities and provides guidance to Staff Accountants during the process.
  • Participate in meetings and on committees as requested by supervisors.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting.

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
