ACCOUNTING MANAGER

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger for monthly, quarterly, and annual closes within established deadlines.

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

  • Develop and manage the organizational budgeting process, including forecasting future financial performance and monitoring budget variances.

  • Analyze financial data for trends, opportunities, and improvement areas, offering insights for informed decision-making.

  • Implement and oversee internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure regulatory compliance, monitoring adherence to accounting policies and procedures.

  • Supervise the processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.

  • Oversee outsourced human resource and payroll function to coordinate new hire orientation and ensure compliance with tax regulations and reporting requirements, respectively.

  • Collaborate with tax professionals to develop strategies and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax laws, including preparing and filing tax returns.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors during financial audits, providing requested documentation and support.

  • Evaluate and implement accounting software systems to streamline processes, providing necessary staff training and support.

  • Supervise and mentor small accounting team, guiding daily tasks and fostering professional growth while ensuring departmental efficiency.

    Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor of Accounting or Finance Degree.

  • 10 or more years of full cycle accounting experience.

  • Demonstrated success in team supervision.

  • Proficiency in common ERP accounting systems and Microsoft Office, advanced use of Excel.

  • Detail oriented, methodical, and deadline driven.

  • Proven ability to adapt and excel within a fast paced environment.
