JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Details: QX LABOR GRADE: 1 BREAK RELIEF POSITION SUMMARY: This position includes covering breaks of departmental employees according to the schedule. Responsibilities: Comply with all safety, food safety, GMP and SQF Requirements. Feed sausage into the packaging machine and operate machines Check for proper labeling and dating of product. Box #1 product, within proper weight constraints, while sorting out leakers and non-number 1 product. Load and operate label machines. Must be able to set up and tear down all machines, change films, labels, and code dates, if required, and clean machines at the end of the shift. Supply lines with boxes and film. Learn proper procedure for collection and processing tests. Observe all safety and sanitation procedures and perform other jobs assigned by the supervisor. Perform any other work as assigned by supervisor. Perform general housekeeping duties in the department. Must perform all positions of rotation, if applicable. Requirements: Ability to perform basic math functions. Must be able to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with rapid hand and eye coordination to move product on a conveyor and/or other processing equipment. Ability to continuously flex/grip with wrist/hands frequently (10 -15 flexion/minute). Must be able to push/pull/lift with arms below waist/at shoulder/above shoulder level 20 pounds or greater frequently. (5 reps/minute) Must be able to life/lower/carry up to over 20 pounds with back and legs. Must be able to constantly stand/stoop/walk/bend, up to 10 hrs. Must be able to repetitively stack 25# boxes 7 rows high onto a pallet. Must be able to move 50# rolls of film from pallet to transportation cart or from transportation cart to machine. Occasional climbing of stairs several times per hour when required. Ability to work in wet and cold temperatures at 35 degrees. Able to complete all paperwork and SAP functions as required for position.
