As a Field Services Intern, you will receive valuable on-the-job experience by working side-by-side with a Field Service Technician (FST) mentor. During this paid internship opportunity, you will shadow FST mentors and assist with onsite installation, troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance of telecommunications products, services and equipment provided to our residential and commercial customers. In this role, you will gain an understanding of how we deliver our products and services on time to our customers and provide exceptional customer service! Pay: The hourly compensation for this position is $15.00. Field Service Technicians generally work Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 p.m. local time. In this role, you will: Learn the overall functions of Field Services, and how the business unit impacts our organization. Gain experience in the field through direct mentorship with one of our Technicians. Learn and assist with general customer installations, repairs, and maintenance activities in various weather conditions. Learn about the importance of safe work practices, and how they impact you, the customer, and TDS as an organization. Gain knowledge and understanding of outside plant facilities and equipment. Learn about and assist with splicing - a very important skill set in our industry! Learn the functions of our warehouse while assisting with inventory and staging. Qualifications Required Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age or older.
