Builds all the electrical panels that run the industrial equipment at the plants. Builds and ships panels requested by Engineering. Reads and understands drawings and blueprints, schematics, and wiring drawings. Read PLC Ladder Logic. Wire panel to schematic specifications. Order parts and keep inventory.

Responsibilities:

Equipment:

  • Uses common tools including but not limited to hand and power tools such as hammers, saws, drills, and wrenches, precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic testing devices.

  • Ensures safe operation of machinery, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems equipment and components, following blueprints and schematics, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.

Safety:

  • Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.

Administration:

  • Utilizes a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) for creating purchase orders.

  • Maintains records.

Personal Development:

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing professional networks, and attending job-required training.

General Duties:

  • Builds and ships panels requested by Engineering.

  • Read and drawings and blueprints, schematics, and wiring drawings.

  • Read PLC Ladder Logic.

  • Wire panel to schematic specifications.

  • Order parts and keep inventory.

  • This position is scheduled for normally 8 hours per day.

  • Performs all other duties as assigned by location management.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED required

  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics required.

  • Ability to read and understand literature printed in English required.

  • Basic computer skills required.

  • Experience using hand and power tools.

  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Minimum 1 Year experience required
