About the role The Quality Technician is responsible for monitoring, measuring, and improving products and associated processes. Starting pay of $20.00 and up based on experience. This is a 3rd shift position working 6:55 pm - 7:00 am just 3 days per week. Responsibilities Areas of Responsibility: Selects, applies, and interprets basic quality tools and techniques such as Pareto charts, histograms, check sheets, flowcharts, SPC charts, etc. Describes, selects, and uses appropriate measurement equipment and evaluates measurement results to determine conformance to specifications Develops and/or performs inspection of product at various phases (first/last piece, in-process, and final) to established specifications which may include cosmetic, dimensional, functional, and agency requirements Interprets specifications, and procedures to perform inspection, testing, or other job functions Determines sample size, selection method and accept/reject criteria used in various situations given guidance from Management Performs product and process audits as assigned Understands and applies corrective action processes, including failure analysis, 8Ds, 5 Whys, etc. to determine root cause and corrective action Identifies and labels non-conforming product and coordinates the segregation of non-conforming product to the appropriate location. Recommends dispositions on non-conforming product to the material review board (MRB) or other authority Assists with verification and validation of new or revised products and processes Qualifications Physical Demands: This position requires 20% clerical and planning and 80% material handling, production assembly machine operations, and/or walking and assisting production employees Work is primarily performed on the manufacturing floor where noise levels may be moderate or high and hearing protection may have to be worn Working for Berk-Tek, a Leviton Company: Medical, Dental, Vision and Rx coverage beginning the 1st day of the month following your start date. 401(k) program with company match.
