Kwik Lok Corporation manufactures the well-recognized bag closure found on bakery and produce packages. With factories located in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Japan and Australia the company produces and ships millions of Kwik Loks daily. We are currently looking for a full time Assistant Production Manager who is interested in growing their career at a dynamic and innovative company.

Job Summary and Duties:

This position directs the manufacture of Kwik Loks as ordered by our customers and oversees daily operations of the production floor. Ensures customer orders are filled in a timely, efficient, and safe manner. This position upholds the Kwik Lok Corporation philosophies through dedication to continuing improvement of quality, food safety, integrity and hard work. This is a salary position and reports directly to the Production Manager.

  • Manages and/or works with all production departments.

  • Oversee equipment maintenance/repair.

  • Demonstrates a good understanding of health & safety.

  • Directly supervises staff as designated.

  • Reviews all training and policies annually to ensure compliance.

  • Resolution of customer complaints per EB 7.5 and GFSI requirements.

  • Follow all company established food safety and quality guidelines and procedures.

  • Additional functions as needed for the good of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Self-motivated, takes ownership of position.

  • Leads by example.

  • Strong teambuilding, decision-making and people management skills.

  • In-Depth knowledge of Kwik Lok production practices and Food Safety requirements.

  • Production and maintenance experience required.

  • Preferred experience with Extrusion processes and maintenance.

  • Previous experience in managing people.

  • Project management experience.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Wage is competitive and dependent on qualifications and experience.

  • This position is a Second shift position 4:00pm – 2:30am Monday - Thursday
