Lewis Environmental, LLC Emergency Response Specialist Tier 1 - DAYSHIFT in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania

Job Summary: Responsible for executing Emergency Response services. The ERS is responsible for partnering with the Field Supervisor/Response Coordinator/Project Managers to manage field personnel and equipment to efficiently conduct emergency response services as needed/scheduled. This position requires increased availability for project assistance outside of normal business hours.

 

Primary Responsibilities

· Ensuring field crews under your direction are following the associated JSAs; constantly monitor the situational hygiene for changes in personal protective equipment levels.

· Provide leadership/direction of Royersford based Spill Leaders and First Team Out (FTO)

· Ensure clear and concise communication outlined through the Emergency Services Chain of Command and with involved personnel.

· Follow direction of Field Supervisor/ Response Coordinator/Project Managers

· Ensure field crews practice safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations.

· Provide leadership to field crews by managing task assignments to ensure work is completed in a quality fashion.

· Assist in the training and development of newly hired staff.

· Handle employee concerns efficiently and professionally

· Report any Health & Safety Incidents/near misses immediately and assist with any resulting investigations.

· Perform all tasks in accordance with Company and/or Client Policy and Procedures to ensure safety and quality goals are met.

· Requires increased availability for project assistance outside of normal business hours.

· Adhere to all regulations and procedures regarding the handling of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.

· Review work plans and equipment requirements to ensure efficient start and completion of projects.

· Maximize utilization of Lewis owned resources and proper use and maintenance of all assigned equipment.

· Uses increased attention to detail on sensitive project documentation and communication.

· Properly and thoroughly complete daily notes and company required paperwork, which includes obtaining a customer signature.

· Thoroughly photo-document all response activities before, during and upon completion.

· Maintain professional communication with client and/or third-party property owners during response activities.

· Safeguard confidential, sensitive, or privileged information.

· Enforcement of the standards of conduct as defined by our Core Values

· Determine if employees are fit-for-duty. If they are not, take appropriate actions.

 

Qualifications

· 2-4 Years' experience in a comparable position in an Environmental Contracting Company

· Valid Driver's License and Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and Criminal Background

· Must have flexibility in personal schedule including weekend and on call status.

· Strong focus on Safety, Integrity, Accountability, and Quality

· 40 Hours OSHA and related Safety Training (training provided)

· DOT Supervisory Drug & Alcohol Training (training provided)

· DOT Examiner's Certificate (will be part of pre-employment testing)

· A CDL is preferred, not required.
