We're looking for an Application Support Engineer - Analog Mixed Signal & Solido to join our team in Cairo, Egypt. You will be responsible for providing remote and on-site application support of our EDA solutions for local and EMEA based customers.

The Applications Support Engineer works directly with Siemens EDA's customers to help grow the adoption and use of Siemens EDA's software in their circuit design and verification flows. This position combines technical depth with strong communication skills and an appreciation for the business value delivered by Siemens EDA's products. The Corporate Applications Engineer manages multiple customer engagements concurrently and must be very effective at customer relationships. This customer interface is not only at the engineering level, but first or second level management as well.

Responsibilities:

  • Work together with technology experts at major semiconductor companies to understand their challenges and help them use Siemens EDA products to solve those challenges.

  • Illustrate the value Siemens EDA brings to customers by assisting them in their evaluations of Siemens EDA's AMS & Solido software; developing and delivering software demonstrations and technical presentations; performing benchmark evaluations for customers.

  • Execute on pre-sales and post-sales technical activities, including assessments of how company products meet customer needs, the preparation of product specifications for development and installation of customized applications/solutions, and technical support for sales presentations and product demonstrations.

  • Developing Technical content for Siemens EDA knowledgebase, tracking and updating customer issues using defined Siemens EDA processes and tracking tools.

  • Drive business for Siemens EDA, using technical expertise and working directly with customers at the appropriate management level to establish criteria for successful engagements.

  • Assist technical teams, including Siemens EDA R&D, to establish value for Siemens EDA products and differentiate from the competition.

  • Work closely with Siemens EDA R&D to address customer feedback and requests.

  • Contribute towards the product technical sales plan with management and communicate frequently with peers and management on progress and account status.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or related field is required. MS degree is preferred.

  • 1-2 years in analog / analog mixed-signal design engineering experience.

  • Broad understanding of Analog Design methodologies and flows including the different types of analysis solutions for analog design including Spice, Fast-Spice, Mixed Signal - Mixed-Mode analyses and flows.

  • Proven ability to map simulator capabilities to application-specific requirements.

  • Track record of exceptional customer relationships.

  • Experience with IC environment tools, such as Cadence® Virtuoso® ADE / Maestro.

  • Experience with analog simulators such as AFS, Spectre, HSPICE, Eldo and mixed-signal circuit simulation tools, such as Symphony, Questa ADMS™, Cadence® AMS Designer®.

  • Highly developed communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share knowledge with others.
