RWJBH is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Post Coronary Care Unit at the New Brunswick campus,

This is a part-time, night position 36 hours/week, Please note the hours of this position are 7:00 pm - 7:30 am with every other weekend

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and monitor patients' cardiovascular conditions, including vital signs and telemetry data interpretation,

  • Administer medications as prescribed by physicians and ensure patient safety by monitoring for potential side effects,

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients,

  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and necessary lifestyle modifications,

  • Document all patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record,

  • Provide emotional support to patients and their families during challenging times,

  • Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and overall care quality,

Qualifications:

  • Current active and unrestricted Registered Nurse license in New Jersey,

  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support BLS for Healthcare Providers required

-Advanced Cardiac Life support ACLS for healthcare providers required,

-Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN required,

  • 1 year of experience working in a telemetry acute care setting preferred,

  • Excellent clinical assessment and critical thinking skills,

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members,

  • Dedication to providing patient-centered care and promoting positive patient experiences,
