Job Overview:

Renal/Pancreas Transplant-Renal Disease Unit 20 beds Medical-Surgical unit seeking compassionate, dedicated and energetic RN for day shift position, 7p-730a PT position, 72 hours PPP. Alternate weekends and holidays. Charge responsibilities are based on experience. NJ license required, BLS/ACLS required. National certification preferred. Some experience with kidney/pancreas transplant and PD preferred.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor s Degree

  • Associate Degree with contractual agreement to acquire Bachelors Degree in 5 years

Preferred:

  • Kidney/Pancreas transplant experience

  • Peritoneal Dialysis experience

Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable remove when posting):

  • RN License required

  • Medical-Surgical National certification preferred

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions remove when posting):

  • Night Shift, PD

Essential Functions:

  • Care of patients with kidney/pancreas transplant and Renal disease.

  • Care of patients on Peritoneal dialysis

  • Interpretation of Rhythm strips

  • Care of patients with Foleys, Central Lines, Feeding tubes, NG tubes, Chest tubes etc

  • Charge RN based on experience and competence

  • Delegate duties to ancillary staff
