Overview

A Leading pharmaceutical company, with a location in NJ is looking to bring on an Assistant Scientist to join their team. Candidates with Oral Solid Dose formulation experience please apply!

Responsibilities

  • Conduct development activities related to developing oral formulations

  • Design and optimize formulation using design of experience approach

  • Conduct material characterization

  • The incumbent will be working 10% to 20% of the time in an office environment.

  • The incumbent will be working 80% to 90% of the time in a manufacturing and/or laboratory setting.

  • The incumbent may travel between NJ sites Summit and New Brunswick sites to access different laboratories and equipment for the execution of experiments.

    Requirements

  • Knowledge of oral solid dose formulation development and unit operations including powder blending, milling, granulation, tablet compression and film-coating

  • Knowledge of data trending and tracking, including use of statistical analysis software a plus.

  • Demonstrate advanced problem-solving ability / mentality, technical adeptness, and logical thinking.

  • Ability to communicate honestly, transparently, and effectively with peers, department management and cross functional peers.

    Education and Experience:

  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering or related engineering discipline (advanced degree preferred).

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience

  • Previous experience working in oral solid formulation and process development.

  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute.

  • Experience conducting powder characterization including powder flow, particle size analysis
