POSITION SUMMARY

The PTIP Evaluator/Facilitator provides intake assessments and psycho-educational group services for Pre-Trial Drug and Alcohol Education clients and makes recommendations to the court, including recommendations for level of program and/or treatment when necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

Candidate must either have:

  1. License or Certification in one of the following with 1 year of experience working with substance abusing clients:
  • LADC

  • LCSW

  • LPC

  • LMFT

  • MD/DO

  • CAC

  • CADC

  • Psychologist

    1. Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work or related license eligible field or a doctoral degree in Psychology with 1 year of experience working with substance abusing clients.

    2. Bachelors degree with 1 year of experience providing services to adults with substance use disorders.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Co-facilitates psycho-educational groups for CSSD referred clients.

    Provides intake assessments for Pre-Trial Drug and Alcohol Education clients and makes recommendations to the court for level of program and/or treatment when necessary

    Provides case management duties (telephone contact with clients regarding appointments, contact with referral sources, etc.) as necessary to clients in assessment process.

    Facilitates orientation to the program for newly referred clients, ensuring client understands and agrees to the service and ensuring compliance with agency policies.

    Clearly and concisely advise clients regarding program guidelines.

    Completes all required documentation (e.g., progress notes, treatment referrals to referral source, scoring DAST or RIASI) following established Wheeler Clinic protocol.

    Attends all clinical supervision/training session as required.

    Communicates client/agency issues to the Program Manager in a timely manner.

    Submits vouchers within one month of the date of service.

    Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.
